Agriculture ... a green future

Sudan is considered one of the leading countries in the field of agriculture due to the availability of all the elements of agricultural activity from fertile agricultural lands and natural irrigation systems such as rain and flow irrigation from rivers, in addition to groundwater in wells, so the company›s interest was growing in agriculture as it is one of the main pillars for the development of the economy and one of the important resources of the state, where the company owns vast areas for cultivation amounting to (2000) acres in the state of Gedaref, at a distance of (460) kilometers from the capital, Khartoum, which have been allocated according to the environment and the appropriate climate in the region for the cultivation of cash crops such as sesame, cotton and sorghum of its various kinds, and the company also owns a huge agricultural project with an area of (8000) ) acres in the northern state, Al-Dabba locality, about (330) kilometers north of the capital, Khartoum. It is located between the Al-Rajhi Saudi project and Amtaar Emirati project. The irrigation system of the project is by underground water, and the region is known as the Nubian Basin, which has a high productivity of water.
